This happened yesterday (13th April 2007) 'Friday the 13th'!!! It was in the afternoon when a salesman came by to our house in kepayan ridge,kk. The weather was horrific!very hot! The bell rang and there were just the 3 of us ladies in the house. My sis went out and approaches this guy at the gate. They were talking under the damn hot sun!(can u imagine that!) He then explained to her that he had approach my other sister last few months back. And it was in the month of December. He wanted to give a short demonstration of the use of their product. “R”. And not forgetting telling us that the day was the last day of their product’s promotion! While explaining his goods, he did ask for a glass of water. So my mom got him one. (Well, just a glass of water….and it was hot though)…pity him…
I was just watching them from inside the house, while both of them out there. My mom was quite interested in having a short demonstration of this particular product. So they agreed to pay him RM5 for the cost of their plain fabric. (and it was a jeans fabric).
The guy ‘B’ came back to us with the machine ‘R’ and was invited in. I was not feeling that good having a stranger in the house but he’s kinda small in size. Hehe…
The thing that did not really make myself feeling that good was when he straight searching for the restroom. I had an experience where my housemate was hypnotized by a salesman by doing these 2 things…

It was quite a famous way of hypnotizing buyers at home. Did any of you realize this? Try and think back. They could make you withdrawn an amount of money in a short while. They even offer to accompany you to the ATM for the payment! Scary isn’t it!
Back to this ‘B’ guy, after finished doing his business in the restroom, he then started sewing and sewing, watched by my mom and sister while I was in the room eavesdropping. Few minutes later, my husband came back home from sembahyang jumaat (Friday prayer). That made us all a bit relief having a guy at home. But what made my hubby a bit suspicious was this ‘B’ guy didn’t even look at him even a glance!
I went out and have a look at his demonstration at last! Well, he’s a young aged boy. He told my mom that he had applied to further his studies at Politeknik kk. But while I was alone with this boy, he said that he’s studying there now. What a different story we’ve got. And he even said that his father is a policeman and mother a teacher. These points will surely make anyone’s trusting higher on you. Well but not to me! …..(To be continued..)
